This lesson is more about the photos than explanations:
Using the thinnest double-side tape we stick the thinnest knitted fabric down to the heavy paper of A4 format:
Cut off the odds:
Then we make a sewing pattern (normally I try the pattern on the dummy, rip it up and outline it on the paper):
Afterward I photograph this outline together with the shit of paper (you may also scan it) and draw a plain vector sewing pattern in Photoshop (taking into account a proper scale):
Then I search for a nice picture:
Print the pattern on the home inkjet printer, and fixate it with the acrylic mat spray:
Unstick the fabric of the paper:
Cut it out сcarefully:
Then we pull a thread out of fabric, put it into a smallest beading needle and sew the side parts of the top together using frequent buttonhole stitches (DO NOT forget that a stich must be no less than 2 mm, because the fabric is very delicate and easy to come apart):
Then we turn it inside out, put it on the dummy and go on to overseam the edges:
Cut off the narrow stripes of the tape (1,5 mm) and stick them down to the edge of the neck:
Fold the edge, press on it gently to make sure you stick it down thoroughly:
And do the same to the remaining edges:
Here we are:
Turn the top inside out once again, put it on a dummy, and take a picture with a teaspoon!
